Involved in real estate since 1993, Tarek purchased his first investment property while attaining an Accounting Degree at The University of Texas. Living in Texas for over 30 years and in Austin for over 20, much of this time was devoted to studying real estate and completing courses in real estate investing, investment analysis, financial tools, appraisal, law, and ethics at the Austin Institute of Real Estate and Robert Allen Real Estate School.
Soon discovering he enjoyed every part of the real estate process, Tarek proceeded to invest in one or two properties per year ranging from single-family homes to small and medium-sized apartment complexes until he graduated in 1997. This direct experience afforded Tarek an acute sense and discernment for Austin’s dynamic economy and challenging facets of the buying/selling processes across multiple types of real estate.
Early on in his real estate career Tarek committed to being an agent who would offer outstanding market and economic foresight, ensure clients were extremely well- prepared through the process, created custom strategies to each client’s unique situation, and an after-closing value-add program second to none – all resulting in trusted long–term friendships and relationships. These strong values laid the foundation that drives Tarek to serve his clients the same way today.
Deeply involved in the Austin builder & architect community, Tarek has developed over 15 projects ranging from modern speculative construction to mixed use buildings. He continues to invest in commercial properties and projects as well as other local endeavors. It’s easy to recognize that Tarek Morshed’s passion for real estate is very personal. Often described as a “teacher,” a “market clairvoyant,” and a “lifelong friend,” Tarek’s greatest concern is bringing all he has to the table so his clients can rest in the fact that the real estate part of their lives is in good hands.
